1.) Server Space : What that would do is making them sell less to the traders, thus making them less available. There are around 36 different materials, and some of them drop or are salvaged in bulks (mostly the common ones). On top of that. When you use materials, you may need bulks over 250. When you use dyes, you almost never user more than 20 at the same time. And with armor upgrades, you almost never use more than 10 at the same time. And they usually are varied, and never more than 5 of the same type. So, unlike with materials, we don't need to keep them for a long time in the storage until we get the amount. We can go to the traders.

2.) If it's a way to keep track of what we have done and not something that actually 'stores' things, never using more server space than the existing variables that save how many times we have made quests and missions, it should do, but I still think that the already mentioned quest log change would be even better.

3.) Anything on the lines of that would be good. Same for everlasting tonics.

3.) As I said, you may need 400 of one material to craft something. You almost never need more than 10 runes per armor and character or hero, and never more than 20 dyes. Almost no one would use more than 10 runes and 30 dyes every day. But if you look at how many people make those infaous 'con-sets' you see that more than 500 units of certain materials can easily be used on daily basis by some characters.
That's why.

4.) You can't stack two items with different properties. That includes the price property. Stacking is for items that may be needed in high numbers. Are you planning to craft 250 leggings of a certain armor and leaving them without upgrades in your storage? I don't thing so, because since the addition of perfect kits, all you need is to craft 1 of each piece (and maybe some extra copies if you like to switch pieces for different builds) but almost never more than 5.

5.) As much as any kind of actual trade system would be welcomed by all players, and many of them would pay any price for it, it seems they do not have time and resources for that.
Although I still want it done.

You should just be able to find bigger bags or belt pouches from doing quests or drops.
Then bag runes should be renamed and redone so that they double the storage size of whatever bag/pouch, but only once. Then you should also be able to buy "bag slots" with the xunlai agents to have bags put into your xunlai chest and then they would act as storage space in the xunlai chest. Also the xunlai chests should be divided up. You should have a section that is dedicated to that character and all your other characters have the same section of their own so the items in that section are not tradeable, but then have another section such as "general storage" for items that you want to be able to access on any of your characters. the idea of "bag slots" could be used as the personal storage space.

Stackable Runes. Man I would love that...

But really, storage is fine as it is. Plus with the new 4 tabs, you shouldn't really need much else.

Item mods (sword handles, bow strings, that sort of thing) of the same type and grade should be stackable.

Inscriptions of the same type and grade should also be stackable (ie, 15^ 50 can only be stacked on other 15 ^50 inscriptions, 14 ^50 could only stack on other 14 ^50, I think you get the idea).

I had an idea worth throwing in regarding armor sets that you should be able to place them all together on 1 slot as a way to save inventory space for your characters. Move 1 customized piece onto another for building full set, double click you change the whole outfit. There's nothing to say this wouldn't work nor should it NOT be implemented.

{Apologies if in my search I missed this suggestion already from someone else}
The extra storage tabs that can be purchased hold less than half what an extra character can hold that costs the same to but. So the reason people might buy those tabs is for ease of access, faster moving of things between character and Xunlai storage. Therefore my suggestion is that a command to empty the entire contents of a bag into a xunlai storage pane should be provided, and similarly in reverse to be able to move a whole Xunlai pane worth of items back into an empty bag (if size is large enough). This would make those xunlai slots much more convenient, especially for players who switch characters often.

I would really like something like this. On my main farming character I have four different armor sets, and they take up an awful lot of space, but I need space to farm properly, and need the armor to farm, etc.

IIm a guild leader of a small guild but we all donate things for the guild to use. so I would have to say I could use most all of the sugestions.stackable runes, dye storage, collector crap, armor, consumables, alchohol, sweets & so on.yes its asking alot but it is needed even in pre now with the traveler storage is needed.I have extra campaigns just for storage (not for zkey collecting or traveler gifts)also storage for inscriptions & mods or make them stackable.I have a char thats full of both mods (max only) & inscriptions.I do sel all of this stuff sometimes but mostly its for friends & guildies.other than that I still love anet & guild wars thank you anet for an awsome game.....

Salvaged runes should be stackable. Regardless of the value.
There should be a storage spot for each KIND of mini pet.(non stackable).
There should be a tab for the collector items, especially now with people trying to keep the harder to get stuff in case Nicholas wants it in the near future.
Dye storage has been needed from day 1. 9 or 10 differant colors....thats a lot of space taken up. Yea, brown and orange are not that popular, but they do have their use.
We have the ability to purchase more storage now, if you dare....Im not that brave the way accounts get banned afterwords.
And armor storage. Yes please!!!! Even with the option of the new character item thingy for weapons and armor, you still dont have room for the other 2 or 3 sets most of us have per character plus various weapon sets.
I had a hidden account for when I wanted to play and not be bothered by anyone, that has now totally turned into storage. Between armor for 10 + characters, minis (yes, I know dedicate and delete, but I just dont have it in me. For me thats like killing off a beloved pet. Stupid I know).
Nicholas.... dont really know what to say there except I have yet to successfully predict what he may want, so I have another character full of possibilities.
So yes, we defiantly need more storage room.

Ain't gon' happen...

...why?

Not enough time/developers in GW1,
More storage = less accounts/storage slots being bought for smore storages,
Not enough time/developers in GW1,
Not enough incentive for the developers if money isn't a part of the equation,
Did I mention "Not enough time/developers in GW1 yet?

By way of a reminder:

10. "It'll Never Happen!"

Due to the current situation in Guild Wars itself, several people have been seen posting replies to threads stating that users might as well not make suggestions for Guild Wars: 1 because ArenaNet will likely not take any notice, or implement anything else. Sardelac Moderators would like to remind you that this is a place for discussion, and to share ideas, regardless of how likely they are to be implemented in GW:1.
Follow the rules.

Wow, another old thread, but still very relevant...

I can certainly do with all of the suggested options, except the 1st one.

Seeing there are alot of new storrage posibilities added allready (4y storage & Weapon/armor bags, buying chestpanes) i would like to point out that Anet apparently does read these threads and does something with usefull suggestions. That to all the people that keep saying 'things will never happen' or that Anet doesnt do anything with player suggestions.

One thing that has me bugged though is the price of the extra storrage panes, 9$ for 20slots ingame just feels overpriced; its about 1/3 of the original campain price. This has withheld me from buying these panes ... Perhaps a price of 4$ or 5$ would give a better price/performance ratio for 20 storrage slots, especially if there are ways to work around needing these slots..

If it were all 4 extra panes for 10Dls I'd buy it and I guess Anet would have made more money and more people happy than with the 10/per tab. I think, not been a poll afaik, the majority are put-off by the high price. A mule account is much more cost effective (like 20 times more storage) than a single tab update.

Instead of an armor tab how about right next to the storage put a closet. You can have the option of storing your armor in there, and when you click the closet, it opens up a mini-screen with a full view of your character that's rotatable in the middle of a wardrobe. Decorating the wardrobe shelves would be your pieces of armor, categorized by body part. You can then select which armor piece to put on and also can mix and match to try out new combinations while viewing your character the whole time. Of course, this would be optional so a player that doesn't want to do all that could just use it for storage and take out armor pieces when they want to.

Default Different bags to slot in 'Zaishen/armor Bag'-slot

Since comments in the Travelers bag idea thread were mainly about another slot for a bag (which most dont seem to need, and me neither); i decided to take out my spin-off idear and give it a thread of its own...

It would be nice if there were more speciality bags that can be equiped on the last added bag slot ... to mind come :

- Consumables bags for buffing items (5/10/15 slots - for Sweets/ConSets/Stones/Buffing consumables)
- Collectable bags for items that can be brought to collectors (5/10/15 slots) (farmers bag so to speak)
- Party bags for Party Items (5/10/15 slots - for Booze/Tonics/Masks/Fireworks/etc)
- Materials Bag for Crafting Mats (5/10/15 slots - for all the crafting mats farmers)
- Miniature Bag to Store Miniatures (5/10/15 slots - holds only miniatures)
- Bookshelve to store all the books (5/10/15 slots, since i doubt there are 15 books out there perhaps this bag could be combined with say miniatures, in which case it holds books and/or miniatures)
- Rune/Insigna's bag (although i still dont get why i have a pane of them in my Chest, but apparently i tend to hold on to them, incase i need them, so i dont have to buy them)
- Weapon Bag only for Weapons (5/10/15 slots)
- There is allready an Armor bag
- Any other catagory of items i forgot bag... 'Coin-Items' or Paints -perhaps

These bags should offer players a choise asto what they equip in the last bagslot, some will prefer to drag along more armor, others prefer to drag along Consumables, some farm collectables or others concentrate on materials. Miniature collectors like to take their minitures along, so they can pick the miniature for the occasion. Some just like to party when/where ever they can... So Not more bagslots, just a choise asto which items you want to 'store/drag along/keep away from your main bags'-bag ...

As idealy (in my views) the Inventory looks like this:
1. Backpack
2. Belt bag
3. Normal bag or Speciality bag
4. Normal bag or Speciality bag
(5. Normal bag or Speciality bag)

Where speciality bags are a tad bigger in their max form, but can only carry a certain itemgroup. Normal bags can carry anything...

I think a character inventory buff is in order after the storage buff, not just the new equipment slots but maybe a buff to bags and the belt pouch.

Well i basically have a decent amount of storage (meaning i manage to clean/free up 2 or 3 spots in my total inventory (bags & chest) for any new item i want to hang onto..
and for drops i use my backpack minus 2slots (for indentification and salvaging gear) ... the other slots in my bags are filled with my mini collection, books, and some consumables.

Then i have 5 slots for small armor pack which are filled with my backup/change weapons.. (HP/set and 50/50set, plus a longbow for pulling), then i wear the armor i need.. so i dont realy need 10xtra armor slots... but being able to have a mini's bag in this bagslot, where others have an armor bag, that would be great... so its more about having a choise to fullfill a specific need, then to have more storage...
